Behrouz Feyzi, a 43-year-old Iranian kurd from Saqqez, has been sentenced to eight months in prison on charges of “propaganda against the regime.”
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the Saqqez Revolutionary Court convicted Feyzi for “propaganda against the regime through cyberspace.” Four months of the sentence have been converted into a monetary fine of 10 million tomans, while the remaining four months have been suspended for one year.
Behrouz Feyzi was arrested by security forces on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, without a court warrant. After completing the interrogation process and being transferred to Saqqez Prison, he was temporarily released on March 8, 2025, on 600 million tomans bail.
