Sharareh Rohani and Farrokh Enayati-Pour, a Baháʼí couple, have been sentenced to a total of six years and six months in prison by the Iranian judiciary.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Sharareh Rohani, an Iranian Baháʼí citizen residing in Isfahan, was sentenced by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Isfahan, presided over by Mohammadreza Tavakkoli, to five years in prison for “inciting people to war and killing each other” and one year for “propaganda against the government.” Her husband, Farrokh Enayati-Pour, was sentenced to six months in prison for “propaganda against the regime.”
Sharareh Rohani was arrested in October 2023 at her home in Isfahan and was released a month later on a three billion tomans bail, pending the conclusion of her trial. Farrokh Enayati-Pour was also summoned at the same time and released on a one billion tomans bail.
