Rezgar Moloudi and Kamyar Izadi, residents of Saholan village near Mahabad, were released from the Urmia Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center after posting bail on Sunday, January 12, 2025.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the two teenagers were arrested on January 1, 2025, after being summoned by the Mahabad Intelligence Office. They were subsequently transferred to the Urmia Intelligence Detention Center for interrogation.
It is worth noting that on December 30, 2024, intelligence agents raided Rezgar Moloudi’s family home and conducted a search.
So far, no precise information is available about the reasons for their arrest or the charges brought against them.
