Rouhollah Khosravi, a political prisoner from Izeh, has been held in Sepidar Prison, Ahvaz, for 16 months without a definitive legal resolution.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, a source close to Khosravi’s family confirmed the news, stating: “It has been 16 months since Mr. Khosravi’s arrest. He is accused of propaganda against the regime, disturbing public order, collaborating with opposition groups, and rebellion. His case is currently under review at Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court in Ahvaz.”
Born in 1989, Khosravi is married, the father of a daughter and a son, and the caretaker of his elderly mother.
He was arrested on Augst 23, 2023, by intelligence agents in Izeh. After interrogation, he was transferred to Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz and then moved to Sepidar Prison 79 days later.
Civil activists have criticized the lack of fair legal procedures in Khosravi’s case, stating that “Mr. Khosravi has been denied access to legal counsel since his arrest.”
