On the evening of Thursday, October 24, 2024, a health network employee in Zabol County lost his life due to gunfire from Anti-Narcotics forces.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the deceased has been identified as Hossein Shirzaei, a 40-year-old Iranian Baluch citizen from Samad Shirzaei village in Zabol, who was the father of three children.
Local sources reported that around 5:30 PM, Hossein Shirzaei was traveling in his private car in the village of Reza Jo when he was shot without warning by Anti-Narcotics forces, resulting in his death.
It is said that after the incident, the Anti-Narcotics forces took his body and informed his family that he had been killed by unknown individuals.
The family of the health worker has not yet received a detailed explanation regarding the incident, and security forces have not pursued the matter.
This incident occurs amidst ongoing security concerns and similar incidents affecting Baluch citizens in border areas.
