Mohammad Parsi, a journalist and editor-in-chief of the literary magazine *Kandoo*, has been summoned to the 9th branch of the Tehran Culture and Media Court after receiving a formal notice.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the summons was issued to Parsi on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, and he has been requested to appear in court within five days to defend himself against the charges brought against him.

A source close to Parsi’s family confirmed that this is the third legal case against him. Recently, Parsi commented on recent military events in the region, and it is likely that his summons is related to these remarks.

Previously, on May 6, 2024, Parsi was summoned to the Culture and Media Court for writing about the details surrounding the death of Nika Shakarami. After being charged, he was released on bail.

Additionally, in July 2024, Parsi defended himself in Branch 1027 of the Tehran Criminal Court 2 and was fined. During the same period, he faced a new legal case for publishing content regarding the presidential elections.

Parsi also manages two other media outlets and has previously faced legal action due to his professional activities.
