On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, three Iranian Kurd Citizens named Sarveh Shiri, Peyman Shiri, and Fardin Shiri, residents of the village of Torgheh in the Bukan district, were arrested by security forces.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, security forces stormed the village of Torgheh without presenting a court warrant and detained these three citizens.
Sarveh and Peyman Shiri are siblings, and Fardin Shiri is their cousin.
The three citizens were transferred to a security detention center in Urmia for interrogation.
So far, no specific information regarding the reasons for the arrests or the charges against them has been made available.
This arrest occurs amidst a rise in arbitrary detentions of Iranian Kurds in various regions of Kurdistan in recent months.
