Iman Dastyar, a resident of Yasuj, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the reasons for his arrest and the charges against this civil activist are still unknown.
A knowledgeable source has suggested that Mr. Dastyar arrest might be related to posts on his Instagram page.
Iman Dastyar has a history of previous arrests:
On January 14, 2023, he was arrested after being summoned to Branch 7 of the Yasuj Prosecutor’s Office and was released a week later on bail.
Additionally, on September 22, 2022, he was arrested during the nationwide Zhina protests in Yasuj and was released after 12 days on bail.
