Shahram Shahi, an Iranian Kurd from Oshnavieh, was released on bail temporarily after eleven days of detention and interrogation at the Urmia Intelligence Detention Center. He is free until the court hearing.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Mr. Shahi was released from one of the security detention centers in Urmia on Wednesday March 27th, 2024.
Shahram was arrested by security forces at his personal residence in Oshnavieh on Sunday March 17th, 2024.
Simultaneously, three other Irani nan Kurd named Fakhreddin Ahmadi, Rahim Salamat, and Amir Rahmani were also arrested by security forces on March 17th, and 18th, 2024.
Amir Rahmani, Rahim Salamat, and Fakhreddin Ahmadi are currently under detention and interrogation in security detention centers in Urmia.
The families and friends of these citizens are demanding their immediate and unconditional release.
