Omid Saidianjo and Zahra Saidianjo, summoned to the second branch of Izeh Courthouse on charges of “propaganda against the regime and disrupting public order”.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the summons notification was served to them on Monday March 25th, 2024. They were asked to appear in this branch within five days for their final defense.
Mr. Saidianjo stated that no lawyer has been allowed to enter this case or defend the accused so far.
These two citizens were previously arrested during the commemoration ceremony of their brother Milad Saidianjo’s birthday at his graveside on March 1st, 2023.
Zahra Saidianjo also has a history of other detentions. She was arrested by security forces in Izeh on November 13th, 2023, and released on bail on November 30th, 2023.
Additionally, she was detained in Tehran in June 2023 and transferred to Evin Prison, where she was ultimately released on bail on August 9th, 2023.
Milad Saidianjo, 26, lost his life during the November 2022 protests in Izeh with bullets fired by authorities.
