The Ministry of Intelligence, in cooperation with the armed forces, raided the Chabahar market and arrested at least five Balochis and took them to an unknown location.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, following an attack on the Chabahar market, the Ministry of Intelligence together with the armed forces, arrested five Iranian-Baloch citizens and transferred them to an unknown location on Monday, January 15th, 2024.
These arrests take place while arbitrary arrests and security repressions against Balochis in Sistan and Baluchistan province have intensified in recent months.
As of writing this report, there is no information about the arresting institution, the place of detention or the charges against these citizens.
