The hearing on the Mohammad Habibi’s charges, the spokesperson of the Tehran Teachers Union, was held in the Shahriar courthouse. This teacher has been tried on charges of assembly and collusion with examples of tweets about protesting the poisoning of schools and defending the rights of students.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the spokesperson of the Tehran Teachers Union, Mohammad Habibi’s charges trial was held at the Shahriar Prosecutor’s Office, on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024.
Ramin Safarnia, Mr. Habibi’s defense lawyer, while publishing this news, wrote: “Today, on January 10th, 2024, the hearing of my client Mohammad Habibi in the Shahriar Revolution Court on charges of assembly and collusion with examples of tweets regarding the protest against the poisoning of schools and the defense of intellectual rights The classes were held.
In April 2023, Mohammad Habibi was arrested by security agents at his workplace and was released from Ward 209 of Evin prison in late May of same year.
Mr. Habibi’s indictment regarding this case was issued in May 2023 and his case was referred to Shahriar Revolutionary Court.
