The sentence of a prisoner named Sadegh Ajdar, who was sentenced to self-retribution (execution) on the charge of “deliberate murder”, was performed in Yasuj Central Prison.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the death sentence of a man was executed in Yasuj Central Prison on the morning of Monday, December 4th, 2023.
This prisoner, whose identity was confirmed as Sadegh Ajdar, was sentenced to self-retribution on the charge of “intentional murder”.
An informed source about the execution of this prisoner told the Iranian Human Rights Organization: “Sadegh Ajdar was arrested and sentenced to death since 2020 on charges of murder.”
The execution of this prisoner has not been announced by the Iranian media or official sources despite the fact that a week has passed since the execution.
According to the annual report of the Iranian Human Rights Organization, at least 582 people were executed in Iranian prisons in 2022, of which only 71 cases were announced by the Iranian media.
