The sentences of at least three prisoners, including an Afghan national, who were sentenced to death on charges related to “narcotic drugs” were performed in Qezel Hesar prison in Karaj.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the death sentence of at least three men was executed in the Qezel Hesar prison of Karaj on the morning of Wednesday, November 15th, 2023.
The identity of two of these prisoners, Bagher Mohammadi-Gravand and a person named Nazir Mohammad (from Afghanistan), who were sentenced to death on charges related to “narcotic drugs” have been confirmed.
The identity of the third prisoner, who was also sentenced to death on this charge, has not been determined at the time of writing this news.
These three prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement in a group of ten people to perform the sentence. There is no information about the fate of the other seven prisoners as of writing this news.
The execution of these three prisoners has not been announced by the Iranian media or official sources yet.
