Nilofar Mirzaei Bafti, a graphic arts student of Al-Zahra University, was arrested at the Armita Geravand’s funeral ceremony and transferred to Qarchak prison in Varamin.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Nilofar Mirzaei Bafti, a resident of Tehran, was arrested by the security forces during the Armita Geravand’s funeral ceremony on Sunday, October 29th, 2023. After explaining the charges, she was taken to Qarchak Varamin prison.
According to this report, the security agents assaulted Nilufar Mirzaei while arresting her.
As of writing this news, there has been no information about the legal cases of the charges against Niloufer Mirzaei Bafti.
Nilufar Mirzaei Bafti, a student of Al-Zahra University, Tehran Branch, was previously arrested by the plainclothesmen security forces on the campus of Al-Zaher University in Tehran, and then transferred to Qarchak Varamin prison and on November 1st, 2022. According to the application of the directive of the judiciary to her judicial case, she was released on February 12th, 2023.
On October 1st, 2023, Armita Geravand, due to an accident in the Tehran subway, was unconscious and hospitalized in Fajr Hospital, affiliated to the Army Medical Sciences University, and went into a coma. This young student is considered to have been beaten by hijab protection ladies.
