Keyvan Rahimian, a Baha’i citizen, is still in Evin Prison without due process, despite more than 45 days since his arrest.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on Saturday September 2nd, 2023, Kivan Rahimian, a Baha’i citizen, resident of Tehran, despite more than 45 days from the date of his arrest, is still in Evin Prison without due process.
Keyvan Rahimian was arrested on June 22nd, 2023, following the Ministry of Intelligence agents raid on his house and after searching and confiscating some of his personal belongings. He then was transferred to Ward 209 of that security institution to file a court case.
Considering the length of his arrest and the following of his family, since his arrest, he had only made two short calls of one minute (in the presence of the interrogator of his case) with them.
An informed source said: “Mr. Rahimian was recently transferred from solitary confinement to 3-person rooms in Ward 209 of the Ministry of Information, and part of his interrogation has been completed, but due to the remaining ambiguities, the investigation of the case announced that until the doubt is resolved, this Baha’i citizen will remain in this security ward.
As of writing this news, there is no information about the legal cases of the accusations against this Bahai citizen.
This Baha’i citizen was previously sentenced to imprisonment due to his activities in the Baha’i Virtual University of Iran and was released after completing his imprisonment on September 2017.
