According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023, the house of Leila Mahdavi, the mother of Siavash Mahmoudi, one of the victims of the nationwide “Woman, Life Freedom” protests in Tehran, was searched by security agents and some of her personal belongings were confiscated.
At the same time, Ms. Mahdavi was summoned to the Evin courthouse and must appear before this judicial authority on Saturday, August 26th, 2023.
An informed source close to this citizen’s family told our reporter: ” on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023, while searching Mrs. Mahdavi’s house, the agents seized some personal items, including her mobile phone. Mrs. Mahdavi has been summoned to the Evin court at the same time and must appear before this judicial authority on Saturday, August 26th, 2023.
As of writing this report, no information has been obtained about the reasons for summoning this citizen.
