The sentence of two prisoners who were sentenced to self-retribution (execution) on the charge of “intentional murder” was executed in Zanjan Central Prison.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, two men were executed in Zanjan Central Prison, on the morning of Wednesday, May 24th, 2023. These two prisoners, whose identities have been confirmed as Meysam Sadri, 41 years old, from Khorram Dara and Parviz Javadi, 31 years old, from Zanjan, were sentenced to death on the charge of “intentional murder”.
An informed source about the execution of these two prisoners told the Iranian Human Rights Organization: “Meysam Sadri was married and had a young child, and he was arrested four years ago and sentenced to retribution. Parviz Javadi was also arrested and sentenced to revenge about two years ago.
The execution of these two prisoners has not been announced by the Iranian media or official sources until the moment of writing this news.
The lack of classification for intentional homicide in Iran causes any type of murder regardless of the severity and motivation of the accused to lead to the issuance of a death sentence. /Quoted by the Iranian Human Rights Organization.
