Nahavand Ministry of Intelligence arrested poet and political activist Ali Jahanian and transferred him to an unknown place.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Ali Jahanian, a poet and political activist, a resident of Nahavand city, Hamedan province, was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence and taken to an unknown location on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023.
An informed source told our reporter: “after Mr. Jahanian had published protest clips about the chaotic situation in the country in his personal Instagram, he received several calls from the Ministry of Intelligence and was summoned to the Monitoring and Follow-Up department of that organization and was arrested there.”
This informed source noted: “Given that the summoning and arrest of this political and literary activist with the purpose of filing a case against him, since his arrest, he has not allowed to have contact or communication with his family, and his family is extremely worried about him.”
