The sentences of three prisoners who were sentenced to death on charges related to “narcotics” were performed in Karaj Central Prison (penitentiary).
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on the morning of Tuesday February 14TH, 2023, the death sentence of three men was performed in the central penitentiary of Karaj. The identities of two of these three prisoners who were sentenced to death on charges related to “narcotics”, Mojtaba Zare Pansand and Mehdi Dostdari, have been confirmed. The identity of the third prisoner has not been confirmed at the time of writing this news.
An informed source about Mehdi Dostdari’s execution told Iran Human Rights Organization: “Mehdi Dostdari was one of those who was wounded and sent to hospital during the rebellion.” He was arrested in 2020 on drug charges and sentenced to death.”
