This statement was published earlier, a few days after the incident of the Metropol building, and Mohammad Rasoulof and Mustafa Al-Ahmed were among the signatories of this statement.
In a part of the mentioned statement, criticizing the suppression of the protests of the grieving people of Abadan, it was said: “The roaring army of the oppressed people from all over Iran have given a cry of solidarity and sympathy with the suffering people of Abadan.” Now that public anger over corruption, theft, inefficiency, suppression and suffocation has followed waves of popular protests, we ask all the people who have become the cause of people’s oppression in the military units to lay down their weapons and return to the arms of the nation. “
Earlier, Tasnim news agency close to the security agencies claimed that these directors played a “serious role” in writing this statement.
