Mohammad Ali Zahmatkesh, an educator and cultural retiree and war veteran, went on a dry hunger strike to protest his illegal arrest and detention by the Shiraz security and judicial authorities.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners; The Iranian Teachers’ Union published a report on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022 and wrote: Mohammad Ali Zahmatkesh, a retired cultural figure and war veteran, went on a dry hunger strike to protest the illegal arrest and detention by Shiraz security and judicial authorities.
According to this report, I, Mohammad Ali Zahmatkesh, a retired educator and cultural activist and war veteran, will go on a hunger strike from June 22nd, 2022, in protest to my illegal arrest and detention and false accusations by the security and judicial organs of Shiraz. If my conditions are not met, I will go on a dry hunger strike on June 25th, 2022.
It is noteworthy that we have completely legitimate and legal demands that we are willing to sacrifice our lives to fulfill, while the justice of Fars province will be responsible for any life damage to me.
