Fatemeh Bahmani, a teacher union activist, was arrested by security forces at her home and taken to an unknown location. Her personal belongings were confiscated as well.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, today, Sunday, May 1st, 2022, the International Workers’ Day, Fatemeh Bahmani, a teacher union activist, was arrested by security forces at her home.
According to the report, officers searched Ms. Bahmani’s home and confiscated a number of her and her family’s personal belongings, including phones and laptop.
Fatemeh Bahmani was arrested by security forces on December 24th, 2021. She was released hours later after interrogations.
Earlier in 2019, she was arrested during a teachers’ sit-in in protest in Arak with her husband, Mohammad Kurd, and transferred to the city prison.
As of this writing, no information is available on her whereabouts or the charges against her.
