According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, four teachers from Khuzestan, Iqbal Tamoradi, Behnia Bahmeinejad, Siamak Chehrazi and Shahriyar Shirvaninia, were summoned to the Revolutionary Court of Ahvaz for a hearing.
According to the report, the union activists must appear in court for five days after receiving the notification to defend the accusations. It should be noted that their five-day deadline expires on May 1st, 2022.
It should be noted that these union activists, along with Kokab Badaghi, were summoned to Branch 12 of the General and Revolutionary Investigation of Ahvaz on March 16th, 2022. Their interrogation was postponed until after the Eid holiday.
Kokab Badaghi Pegah is one of the protesting teachers who has repeatedly called on the country’s officials to pay attention to the chaotic situation of education in Iran (free education, equalization of pensions, proper ranking, payment of end-of-service bonuses, retirees, hiring the temporary contract workers, hiring teachers, purchase educational services, servants and caretakers, literacy movement instructors, preschool teachers) and other education problems.
