The fate of Soheila Hijab, a political prisoner detained in the women’s ward of Kermanshah Prison, is still unclear following her contracting Covid and deteriorating physical condition.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, following the deterioration of Soheila Hijab’s health condition and her transfer to the prison health center on Thursday, February 24th, 2022, her exact fate is still unknown.
According to some reports, Ms. Hijab suffered a heart attack due to her deteriorating physical condition, and after being transferred to a hospital in Kermanshah, she was saved from certain death by resuscitation and electric shock.
Exact information about the health condition of this prisoner and her fate is not available yet. The officials of Kermanshah prison are responsible for the life and health of this political prisoner.
In recent weeks, Arash Sadeghi, a former political prisoner, posted a note on Twitter announcing that Soheila Hijab and 13 other prisoners in Kermanshah prison were suffering from corona disease.
It should be noted that while the prisoners were in pressing need for medical care and access to medical services, the health clinic in women’s ward of Kermanshah Prison was closed due to the nonappearance of a doctor.
