According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Narges Mohammadi, a spokeswoman for the Defenders of Human Rights Association, was transferred from solitary confinement in cell 209 to Qarchak Prison in Varamin.
According to the report, Ms. Mohammadi was arrested by security forces in Karaj in November 2021 and has since been held in solitary confinement in the Ministry of Intelligence’s Ward 209 detention center.
Ms. Mohammadi’s husband, Taghi Rahmani, said; since she was transferred to Qarchak prison, she has not contacted her family, which raised concerns about her condition.
On November 16th, 2021, Ms. Mohammadi was arrested by security forces in Karaj during a memorial service for the second anniversary of Ebrahim Ketabdar’s death, one of the victims of the November 2019 protests. She was sent to Evin Court on November 22nd to be informed of the charges and was returned to solitary confinement.
Also, her house was searched by security forces and some of her personal belongings were confiscated on December 29th, 2021
