In recent days, three residents of Saqez, who had previously been sentenced to prison terms, were arrested to serve their sentences.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, three Residents of Saqez, who had previously been sentenced to four months in prison on political charges, were arrested and sent to prison to serve their sentences, on Sunday, November 8th, 2020.
The identities of these Residents are “Hamed Sheikhi”, “Nabi Malawisi” and “Ayub Kakakhani”.
It has been reported that Hamed Sheikhi and Nabi Malawisi were transferred to Saqez Prison and Ayub Kakakhani to Bijar Prison.
The three Residents had previously been sentenced to one year in prison by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj, presided over by Judge Saeedi, in a joint case, but the sentence was reduced to four months on appeal.
These three prisoners were charged with “collaborating with opposition parties.”
