The trial of Mohammad Hadi Erfanian Kaseb, a lawyer, will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2020, in Branch 29 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran, presided over by Judge Ali Mazloum.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Mohamad Hadi Erfanian Kaseb, a lawyer, who was arrested in April of this year after appearing in Branch 2 of the Tehran Security Prosecutor’s Office on a complaint from the IRGC, and was released on bail two days later, upon receiving a notification, must appear in Branch 29 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran on Tuesday, October 20th 2020, to attend the hearing.
This lawyer must present his defense against the accusation of “propaganda activities against the state” in a court hearing in Branch 29 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran.
According to the report received, in the indictment against Mohammad Hadi Erfanian Kaseb, the case investigator referred to his interviews with the local media regarding the murder of his client Alireza Shir Mohammad Ali, a political prisoner who was killed in the Greater Tehran Penitentiary (Fashafuyeh Prison).
This lawyer was arrested on Sunday, April 26 (2020), due to a complaint filed by the IRGC against him, after appearing in Branch 2 of the Tehran Security Prosecutor’s Office.
After the arrest, he was transferred to solitary confinement in Security Ward 2A of this security organ in Evin Prison.
Mohammad Hadi Erfanian Kaseb was summoned for informing and interviewing the media about the political and security clients representing them, and the charges against him was “propaganda against the state.”
Mohammad Hadi Erfanian Kaseb was temporarily released from Evin Prison on Tuesday, April 28th 2020 on bail, pending trial.
