Mokhtar Ebrahimi, a Turkish civil activist, who was arrested in late August this year (2020), was transferred to Maragheh Prison.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Mokhtar Ebrahimi, a Turkish civil activist who was arrested by Maragheh security forces on August 26 this year (2020), was transferred to the city’s prison.
Despite the transfer of this civil activist to prison, so far, no information is available on the reasons for his arrest and the charge ascribed to him.
Mokhtar Ebrahimi was arrested by intelligence agents in Maragheh (East Azerbaijan Provence) on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.
Intelligence agents went to Mr. Ebrahimi’s private residence and confiscated all of his devices and personal belongings.
On Sunday, September 13, 2020, after summoning several Turkish activists residing in the city, including engineers Hamed Yeganeh-Pour, Mohammad Abbas-Pour and Davoud Azimzadeh to Maragheh Intelligence Department, they were interrogated for hours and then were released.
