After exposing the beatings, arrests and insults perpetrated by patrols in Tehran’s Vanak Square, which were widely reported in the mass media, especially on the eve of the 10th presidential election, the journalist faced complaints from law enforcement and threats from law enforcement officials.
Azarpeik had a history of being summoned and detained by security agencies during 2014, 2018, and 2019.
