“Shahriar Shams”, one of the detainees of the January 2018 protests, was transferred to the quarantine ward of Evin Prison to serve a prison sentence.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, “Shahriar Shams”, one of the detainees of the protests in January 2018, who was sentenced to 6 years in prison by the Tehran Revolutionary Court and later reduced to 4 years, 1 month and 15 days in prison, was arrested and transferred to Even Prison, after appearing at the Evin Prosecutor’s Office, on July 5th, 2020.
Shahriar Shams was detained by security forces in Tehran during the January 2018 protests. He was transferred to the security forces’ detention center during the interrogation and investigation. After 10 days in solitary confinement and his charge was communicated to him, he was released on bail.
Shahriar Shams was sentenced to 6 years in prison by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran presided over by Judge “Abolghasem Salavati”. The sentence was reduced to four years, one month and 15 days in prison in appeal court.
“Shahriar Shams”, a resident of Tehran, was arrested and transferred to Even Prison to serve his sentence, after appearing at the Branch 1 of the Tehran Security Prosecutor’s Office, headed by “Mohammad Mehdi Bara’a”, on July 5th, 2020.
