The five-year sentence for Sediq Safi, a Kurdish citizen from Dyvandereh, Kurdistan, was upheld by the provincial appeals court.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on Thursday, May 21st, 2020, 5 years prison sentence for Sediq Safi, that was issued on March 2020 by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj, presided over by Judge Saeedi on March 2020, was upheld in the Court of Appeals. The charges were “action against national security” by cooperation with the Kurdistan Free Life Party.
“Sediq Safi”, a Kurdish citizen, was arrested by security forces at his workplace in Dyvandereh city and taken to unknown location on Thursday morning, August 8, 2019. He was released until his pending trial on 200 million Tomans bail on October 9th, 2019.
