Iran: The Court Increased its Charge against a Labor Activist

 

The Appeal Court announced Farzad Moradinia a labor activist the sentence, two years imprisonment increased to three years in prison. He had formerly objected the verdict that judicial officials refused his demand as well.

Farzad, a member of the “Coordinating Committee of Labor Union”, had been previously convicted serving two years in prison at the court which chaired by Judge Saeedi 11 days ago and confirmed at branch four in the Appeal Court of Sanandaj city.

The court decision allegedly posted to his house, citing his charges as “membership in Komoleh party” and “propaganda against the regime” respectively to two years and one year in prison that totally becomes three years imprisonment.

He refused any partnership with opposition parties as the rights groups said.

His initial sentence was reportedly carried out at branch first of the Revolutionary Court in Kurdistan Province according to the news received by the Campaign Defend to Civil and Political Prisoners in Iran.

Farzad had been formerly detained by the Intelligence Service plainclothes’ during officials attack at his house on 7 Dec 2014, and taken to Intelligence Service detention in the city of Sanandaj. Officials have also seized his personal belonging as his relatives said to the campaign.

He finally released on the bail of 70 million Tomans after having 25 days in the Intelligence Service chamber on 1 Jan 2015.

The labor activist is supposedly suffering from the digestive disorder, and he is not in the suitable situation.
