Forouzan Yazdanipour, a master’s student in cultural and media studies at the University of Tehran who was arrested by the Revolutionary Guard Intelligence Agency, remains in custody despite bail.
According to the Student Councils of Iran, Forouzan Yazdanipour, a graduate student in cultural and media studies at the University of Tehran, who was arrested on February 22nd, 2020 by the IRGC, despite issuing 500 million Tomans bail by the Evin Security Branch 4, still is detained after 13 days of arrest.
On the morning of February 22nd, 2020, Forouzan Yazdanipour, a graduate student in cultural and media studies at University of Tehran, was arrested at her family home in Tehran, a day after her father Ahmad Yazdanipour was arrested by the IRGC.
Security officials also seized some of the student’s personal belongings while arresting her.
According to the report, Ms. Yazdanipour detention continues while her family continues to pursue her release every day due to the spread of the coronavirus and concerns over her health, but authorities continue to keep them with uncertainly about her.
After thirteen days of Ms. Yazdanipour arrest, she has not been allowed to call or visit her family and remains in unknown condition.
