Fardin Moradi, a civil activist from Sanandaj, was arrested by security forces at his home and taken to an unknown location.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, security forces arrested Fardin Moradi at his home and taken him to an unknown location on Wednesday January 22nd, 2020. Security officials are said to have searched the detainee’s home and seized some of his personal belongings.
The reason for the arrest and whereabouts of this Kurdish citizen is not known at this time.
Mr. Moradi was previously arrested and sentenced to two years in prison on charges of “collaborating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties” on October 2006. The sentenced was increased to 3 years in appeal court.
He was released from Sanandaj Central Prison after serving three years in prison.
