Yasmin Tabatabai, a residence of Tehran and a civil activist who was detained by security forces on the way to Pasargad to commemorate Cyrus’ Day, was released on bail.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Yasmin Tabatabai, a Tehran residence and civil rights activist, who was arrested on October 29th, 2019, along with number of political activists, was temporary released from Evin Prison after 16 days on 200 million Tomans bail, on November 13th, 2019.
According to this report, she has been charged with “propaganda against the system and creating the Moaned group”. The charges were communicated to her by the second branch of the Evin Security Prosecutor’s Office, headed by Nassiri Pour.
On the afternoon of October 29th, 2019, Ms. Tabatabai along with The Iranian Democratic Front Secretary-General Heshmat Tabarzadi and other members of the organization were detained by security forces at a checkpoint set up by agents along the Pasargad road after Abadeh in Fars province and taken to the Ward 209 of Evin Prison.
Since 2016 and after thousands of people gathered to celebrate Cyrus’ Day in Pasargadae, law enforcements have been blocking the roads leading to his tomb each year.
