Behzad Shahshavar and Siamand Shahshavar, two citizens from Dizaj Margo Orumieh who were arrested by security forces earlier this month, were transferred to Naghade Prison with an extension to their temporary detention.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Behzad Shahshavar and Siamand Shahshavar, two citizens who were arrested by the security forces in early January while leaving Haj Omran’s terminal, were transferred from the Orumiyeh Intelligence Office to Naghade Prison and had their temporary detention by two months.
Earlier this month, security guards arrested these two Kurdish citizens for “supporting and cooperating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government” while they were traveling to the Iraqi Kurdistan Region at the Hajj Omran’s terminal at the border of Piranshahr. They were arrested after inspecting their personal belongings and transferred to the Office Orumiyeh Intelligence Office.
