Mohammad Pataishi, a residence of Piranshahr detained in Orumiyeh Prison, who was arrested by the Revolutionary Guard Intelligence forces in March of last year, was sentenced to imprisonment by a branch of a revolutionary court in Orumiyeh.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on Sunday, January 20th, 2019, Mohammad Pataishi, a residence from Piranshahr, was charged with “cooperating with a Kurdish opposition party of the Iranian government”. He was sentenced to seven years imprisonment by a court ruling in Orumieh’s Revolutionary Court.
The 55-year-old Kurdish resident was detained by Revolutionary Guard Intelligence officers on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018.
Mohammad Pataheishi was reportedly subjected to psychological and physical torture during his interrogation at the Revolutionary Guard Intelligence detention center and was denied access to a lawyer.
