Mohammad Dorosty, a resident of Khoy, who was arrested by security forces in December 2018, was sentenced to imprisonment by a revolutionary court in Khoy without his presence, on charges of “propaganda against the regime”.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Mohammad Dorosty, a Turkish activist living in Khoy, was sentenced to six months of imprisonment by the first branch of the Khoy Revolutionary Court without his presence. On Wednesday January 16th, 2019, he was told of the verdict after a telephone summoning by the court and in the form of a court order.
Mohammad Dorosty was arrested by Khoy security forces on December 9th,2018. One day after the arrest, at the Branch 3 of the city’s prosecution, he was charged with “propaganda against the system through broadcasting the announcement” and was released temporarily on bail.
