Caravan Khazari and his mother, Toubah Shahidi, two Sardasht’s residents, were arrested, beaten, and harrassed by security forces at their house in the absence of his brother, Souran Khazari, at home.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political Prisoners, Caravan Khazari and his mother, Toubah Shahidi, were arrested by Sardasht Information Officers on December 3rd, 2018. It is said that Toubah Shahidi was released after hours of interrogation but no detailed information is available on Caravan Khazari’s status.
According to informed sources, Sardasht’s intelligence services entered his father’s house to detained Souran Khazari, but were not able to arrest him since he was not there.
After the house search, which was with “beating” and “insult”, the intelligence forces arrested his brother Caravan Khazari and his mother Toubah Shahidi.
According to a Kurdistan website, Souran Khazari has been hiding out on fear of being detained by intelligence forces, and the intelligence forces had been trying to arrest him on charges of “cooperating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government.”
