Labor activist Ezat Nasri, from Sagaz, was sent to the Central Prison to serve his sentence.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, labor activist Ezat Nasri, after appearing at the Sagaz Court Sentence Execution Section, was transferred to the central prison in order to serve his three-month sentence on Tuesday November 27th, 2018.
An informed source told the campaign, “Mr. Nasri came to court in Saqez on Tuesday to serve his sentence. After spending four hours in handcuff in the courtroom in front of his family and a group of his friends, he was transferred to the central prison of Saqez.”
The activist was arrested by security forces in the city of Saqez on December 23rd, 2017. On January 15th, 2018, he was convicted in the first branch of the Revolutionary Court of Saqez City on the charges of propaganda against the regime and sentenced to 3 months of imprisonment. He was released on January 16th, 2018 on bail.
