Sharareh Eliasi, a Kurdistan resident who was sentenced to death for murder and detained in Sanandaj Central Prison in Sanandaj, was executed.
Today on Tuesday, November 13th, 2018, the death sentence of Sharareh Elyasi was executed at Sanandaj Central Prison. The woman was sentenced to death for murder.
There is no detailed information on this executed prisoner’s case, but it is said that ” Sharareh Elyasi, 27, was convicted on charges of murdering a citizen named Kaveh Gholam Wasi by the Iranian judiciary five years ago.”
An informed source on the execution of this prisoner told Iran’s Human Rights Watch: “The efforts of civil society activists and social workers to reach the victim’s parents’ consent, until late last night, failed. Unfortunately, Sharareh was facing the opposition of the victim’s family. The painful story of Sharareh Elijah is more like the story of Shahla Jahed.”
The execution of this prisoner has not been announced by the official media at the time of this report.
According to the Iran Human Rights Organization’s statistics unit, 240 executions were executed out of 517 executions charges in 2017 on charges of murder. The lack of grading for deliberate murder in Iran makes any kind of crime, regardless of the intensity and weakness of the accused, results in the death sentence.
