“Of course, the detainees were taken to a police station in the afternoon and from there were transferred to the security police. Security guards tried to force the detainees to sign a paper, which no detainee was willing to sign.”
The security forces promised the family and the educational colleagues that they will release Mr. Khastar tomorrow afternoon.

Hashem Khastar is a retired teacher and representative of teachers at the Cultural Center of Mashhad. He has long been faced with various verdicts by the Mashhad Revolutionary Court.
This civil activist, after eight days in Mashhad Revolutionary Court, was sentenced to two years of imprisonment on charges of “acting against national security” in 2004. The sentence was increased to three years of imprisonment later on.
He spent a two-year prison term in Vakilabad prison without a single day of prison leave and spent another 45 days in Vakilabad prison for writing a letter about his prison sentence.
