A Kurdish citizen, named “Sirran Aramesh”, was arrested yesterday by security forces in Sanandaj City and transferred to an unknown location.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on Thursday July 19th, 2018, ” Sirran Aramesh ” was arrested by security forces in the Sanandaj neighborhood 25, and was taken to an unknown location.
A source close to Mrs. Aramesh’s family, while confirming the news to the campaigner said: ” “Sirran Aramesh was arrested yesterday by Sanandaj Intelligent Office agent on charges of cooperating with Kurdish parties.”
The source said: ” Sirran is from Hussein Abad district of Sanandaj City, where she had gone to the city to meet with a friend. During the arrest, all her personal belongings, including her laptop and her cell phone, were confiscated by the agents.”
The security forces have always summoned and arrested civil activists with charges of cooperating with Kurdish parties, propaganda against the regime and acting against national security, with the aim of suppressing Kurdish activists and creating terror in the region.
This is despite the fact that many detainees say that these allegations have no basis and that their confessions were under pressure from security forces interrogators.
