Tehran appeals court Branch 36, confirmed Mohammad Mozaffari, a political prisoner, sentences of 2 years imprisonment, two million Tomans fine, and 74 lashes.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, the political prisoner Mohammad Mozaffari’s prison exact sentence was confirmed in in Tehran Appeal Court Branch 36. On June 3rd, 2016, the activist was sentenced to two years imprisonment, two million Tomans fine and 74 lashes by judge Salavati in Tehran’s Revolutionary Court.
Mr. Mozaffari’s charges were “propaganda against the regime”, “assembly and collusion”, “membership in the student organization of the National Front of Iran”, “insulting the leadership”, “supporting political prisoners and their families,” “supporting Mothers of the Laleh Park “and “using and maintaining Satellite Equipment “.
Mohammad Mozaffari was arrested on February 15th, 2015, and was sent to detention center at the Revolutionary Guards Corps in Evin Prison Ward A-2. After 3 months of interrogation, he was transferred to Section 8. On July 12th, 2015, and after five months of detention, he was temporary released on bail.
