Saeid Eghbali who was arrested by security forces on February 1st, 2018, along with several civil activists in various parts of Iran, was released from the 209th of Evin Prison on 100 million toman bail.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Saeid Eghbali who was arrested by security forces on February 1st, 2018, along with several civil activists in various parts of Iran, until his next court appearance, was temporarily released from Section 209 of the Ministry of Information located in Evin Prison on Wednesday, April 11th, 2018, on 100 million toman bail.
A source told Campaign that “Many times, the family of Saeid Eghbali went to Evin Prison to convert collateral to bail, but the prosecutor did not agree with their request, so after a lot of efforts, Saeid Eghbali’s family was able to secure a 100 million toman bail, and he was temporarily released for the time being until his court is held. “
On February 1st, 2018, Saeid Eghbali, a civil activist, was detained by security guards in Kermanshah, and two days later was transferred from Kermanshah to Evin prison section 209. At the same time of his arrest in Kermanshah, Shima Babaei and her husband, Dariush Zand in Behbahan, Mahmoud Masoumi, Saeid Seifi Jahan, Nader Afshari and Behnam Mousivand were arrested in Tehran by security guards.
Earlier, this civil activist was also arrested on January 22nd, 2017, along with Arash Sadeghi’s wife Golrokh Ebrahimi.
From civil activists that were arrested on February 1, 2018, Saeid Saifijahan on February 27, Shima Babaei on March 3 and her husband, Dariush Zand, on March 4, Mahmoud Masoumi on March 5, Nader Afshari on March 18, and Behnam Mousivand on March 19, of 2018, were also released from Evin Prison on bail.
