Arash Sadeghi, a human rights activist detained in Rejai Shahr prison in Karaj, protested against the illegal behavior of the authorities with Golrokh Iraei and Athena Dayemi, two civil activists detained in Varamin Qharchak prison, in an open letter supporting these women.
While expressing concern over the state of Golrokh Iraei’s heatlh, who has been on hunger strike for forty days in protest of insults, beatings, and illegal transfers to the Qharchak prison in Varamin, demanded support from conscientious people for his wife.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on March 12, 2018, Golrokh Ebrahimi Iraei and Athena Dayemi were transferred from prison quarantine section to the mothers’ section using force and aggression with an order from prison authority.
“It has been reported that Golrokh Ebrahimi, who has been on hunger strike for more than 40 days, has lost 13 kg and is suffering from a severe drop in blood glucose and blood pressure as well as kidney disease.”
Arash Sadeghi, Golrokh Ebrahimi’s husband and a political prisoner detained in Rajaei Shahr Prison, described his wife’s physical weakness after 40 days of hunger strike and asked all the conscientious people to be voice of his wife in a letter from prison,
Read the text of this letter as a quote from the Campaign:
“Again it’s a repeating story, but bitter”
Two women in jail, ” Golrokh Iraei and Athena Dayemi”, are targeted for insults and beatings.
The story is still the made up case scenario that this time is written in jail; when they do not even adhere to their self-made law, and this law is still instrumental in pushing for pressure and suppression, then to protect them, the human rights and dignity have no choice but to resist and protest.
Golrokh Iraei has been on hunger strike for forty days in protest of insults, beatings, and transfer to Qharchak prison in Varamin, and the latest reports indicate a deterioration in her physical condition, including a 13-kg weight loss, low blood pressure, low blood sugar and severe kidney pain as a result of her 40-days hunger strike.
Golrokh’s only demand is the preservation of human dignity that the rulers of Iran shamelessly are claiming that the highest dignity, human rights around the world dominate only in the Islamic Republic. This is always a claim that repeated by the highest officials of the Islamic Republic to the wage-earners and individuals of this inhumane government, the claim that the latest example of which is the suicide of dozens of protesters in the security detention centers, so I want all the conscientious people to be voice Golrokh.”
