Since two human rights activists, Atena Daemi and Golrokh Iraei, started their hunger strike, they have been subjected to a very poor medical and therapeutic conditions. Currently, they are serving their imprisonment in exile.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Atena Daemi and Golrokh Iraei have been on hunger strike since February 14th, 2018, in protest to their beatings and illegal transfer to a solitary confinement cell in Gharchak prison in Varamin.
Since these two activists’ hunger strike has been slighted by the judicial authorities, starting February 3 , 2018, they have been abstaining drinking liquids and changed their hunger strike
to dry hunger strike.
