The sentence of four prisoners, including an Afghan nationality, who were sentenced to “retaliation in kind” (execution) on the charge of “deliberate murder”, was executed in Khorramabad Central Prison.
According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on the morning of Thursday May 17th, 2023, the death sentence of four men was executed in the Khorramabad Central Prison. The identities of two of these four prisoners who were sentenced to “retaliation in kind” on the charge of “intentional murder”, Ali Khorramshah Amrai and Najaf Suleiman Rashad, have been confirmed. The third man was Firoz Yarinejad Gravand that was executed on the charge of narcotics.
The identity of the fourth prisoner has not been obtained as of this writing.
An informed source about the execution of these two prisoners told the Iranian Human Rights Organization: ” Ali Khorramshah has been in prison on charges of murder for about 4 years, and Najaf Suleiman was from Afghanistan and has been in prison on charges of murder for two years.”
The execution of these four prisoners has not been announced by the Iranian media or official sources as of writing this news.
