Recently, at least 28 Iranian inmates who were reportedly kept in the jails of Baghdad and southern provinces in the country deported to Iran. Iran’s officials have chased the Iranian prisoners who are kept in Kurdistan of Iraq.
The Iranian prisoners transferring is on the final phase as the governmental news agency Fars said on 26 June 2015. It added according to the Iran-Iraq’s agreement that the 28 prisoners taken to Iran serving their remaining prison term. It quoted “we are consulting in the issue tacking the inmates back to Iran.”
Kurdistan leaders submitted a list including at least 78 inmates who are at instant risk of deportation according to the news received by the Campaign to Defend Civil and Political Prisoners in Iran.
Human Rights activists have expressed concern over the issue and condemned the unrighteous deportation as the campaign declared.
